Coming in sounding like a late 70s downtown NYC Post Punk Art Rock band, T_A_M’s new EP for Paradise Palms showcases his explorative nature and growth, while still maintaining his edge. Over the four tracks, he touches on influences from his broad tastes and time as a DJ, from classic indie rock, to disco, krautrock and melancholy synthpop. 

The title track, Yngwie Sleep Demon is supported by an upbeat yet moody bassline and punctuated by rich, crisp melodic textures. Couldn’t Hold It In feels like a meandering stroll, the pops and interjections of the arpeggiated synths making the world seem brighter than usual, with Golden Turtle building on this feeling with a faster pace and beautifully layered melodies. Finally Mint Greens offers a blissful otherworldly experience in its atmospheric chiming keys and distorted strings.
